Indexing:

        Once a page has been crawled, it is added to the search engine's index. The index is a large database that contains information about all of the pages that have been crawled. This information includes the page's title, content, and links to other pages.

Ranking:

        ranking refers to the position of a website or web page in search engine results pages (SERPs). When a user performs a search, the search engine will return a list of websites and web pages that are relevant to the search query. The websites and web pages that are ranked higher in the SERPs are more likely to be clicked on by users. 

There are a number of factors that affect SEO ranking, there are ON Page and OFF Page SEO techniques to rank higher on the web.
